      Key Roles : Conduct DFM and DFA studies for all Plastic Parts in our division and suggest modifications for better manufacturability.  Design and development of enclosure for all electronic components and PCB’s respecting IP requirements and cooling of components using Catia.  Design and development of plastic parts like connectors, busbars over-moldings, covers etc.; sheet-metal parts like cover, lead frames etc.; and casting parts like housing, heatsink etc.  Check/create 2D drawings for all parts respecting ISO standards.  Perform various calculations regarding Thermal conductivity and cooling, sealing height, potting/gel volume calculations etc.  Perform 1D stack-up analysis in excel and modify tolerance for a better assembly.  Study and validate vibration and other simulation results and modify 3D to solve the issues.  Validate Fixture designs for vibration and functional tests of both product and PCB.  Schedule and lead Design Review meetings with Supplier and management to highlight issues and identify solutions.  Create and manage CR and CO in PLM and provide quick solutions to reduce lead time.  Suggest improvement proposals, idea generation to improve quality and time.  Participate in VAVE and Design to Cost study in projects and suggest ides from mechanical point of view.  Train team member regarding plastic part design conditions and also conduct regular knowledge sharing sessions to solve the queries regarding molding processes, parting line, draft directions etc. Show less
