  • My main duties initially were to carry out surveys for insulation and assess homes for energy efficiency improvements under the Government’s Warm Front grant scheme.• I was provided with a client list and contact details each week although the list was constantly updated. I contacted each individual client to ascertain exactly what their needs were and make a mutually convenient appointment for a survey of their property to take place.• My role involved working with homeowners, landlords, tenants, councils and housing associations to successfully quote for projects and work through with these customers from survey stage to on-site installation and after care.• My role developed to include training of new starters, assessing of team members and work involving larger contracts specifically based around wall and roof insulation.• Contract work involved surveying, costing and liaising with senior management to report on and improve business performance.• Dealing with a variety of different types of people at different stages of the process enabled me to develop negotiation skills and handle potentially damaging situations in a positive manner.• Problem solving was a key part of the role that I embraced and I found resolving of customer complaints very satisfying.• Time management and organizational skills were a must due to day to day constraints and the ever changing demands from my work load.• On an average week I was required to deal with up to one hundred clients that could increase at short notice.• My client base was in the North West area which meant that I had to be adaptable as I was required to attend urgent appointments and meetings across the region.• My role required me to converse with people from all ages and backgrounds.
