  I performed a variety of analytical chemistry techniques unique to food and dairy science. My work was used to further develop new dairy products or improve existing product lines. I was highly adaptive to the sporadic nature of analysis requests, as well as the short life-time of dairy. All external proficiency testing and method validations were passed with a high degree of accuracy and precision.   Noël Group at Electrochemistry and Corrosion Science Western, Supervisor: Dr. Dmitrij ZagidulinInvestigated the electrochemical oxidation of ammonia and assisted in the development of industrial gas sensors to detect ammonia gas leaks. Collaborated with an industry partner to improve their existing line of ammonia gas sensors through cyclic voltammetry and other electrochemical analysis. Design improvements to better enhance the product lifetime and effective use were identified and will be considered for future gas sensor versions. Show less
