  Deputy Director of Organizational Affairs

  Reporting to the Vice President of Public Safety, the Deputy Director of Organizational Affairs leads and directs the following administrative functions for the department: Personnel, Tactical and Professional Development, Communication Center Dispatch, Professional Standards, Advocacy, and Technology. The Deputy Director provides strategic and organizational planning input to the Vice President; promotes continuous improvement; sets and monitors goals for the functions reporting to them; and adjusts to meet those goals. The Deputy Director works closely with the Vice President and the VP’s other direct reports to ascertain departmental goals, assign resources, ensure effective cross-team communication and collaboration, and report on critical issues arising from their areas of oversight. Working with management staff, the Deputy Director ensures that the strategy and operations of their areas of oversight are aligned with that of Campus Safety Services and Temple University. The Deputy Director has a proven track record of leading, supervising, developing, communicating with, and motivating others.
