  I helped lead ASCD into the social media revolution. As a community manager, I engaged a diverse audience of over 13,000 educators. I created strategic marketing campaigns that employed social media channels, e-blasts, and video content. In between tweets and status updates, I assisted in the comprehensive redesign of ascd.org, the production of a live-streamed virtual conference, and the development of a social media platform for educators. My daily duties ranged from managing the editorial content for 10 landing pages to producing marketing collateral (e.g. podcasts, screencasts, webinars, videos).   I served as the voice of the user for the Federal Aviation Administration's employee website. MyFAA is much more than an Intranet—it's a social platform, a data resource, and a news source. My goal was to quickly connect employees with the information they need in a user-friendly and engaging way. My day-to-day duties included working with content creators directly—advising them on effectively reaching their audience and strategically presenting their information. I oversaw changes and additions to top-level pages and ensured all content met accessibility and plain language requirements. Using data collected from analytics and direct user feedback, I looked for ways to improve the product (e.g. adding new features, updating functions within the CMS, helping with break/fixes) and maintained a product roadmap to guide these improvements. I also served as the in-house expert for the CQ5 and AEM6 platforms and managed permission levels and workflows. To support the migration of web properties from Cold Fusion to AEM6, I developed and lead a comprehensive CMS education program and trained over 175 employees. In addition, I wrote and maintained all CMS documentation, user guides, and training presentations. I also provided ongoing technical support for our internal customers. From writing news articles to executive updates, I engaged with a diverse audience daily—encouraging them to sign on and share ideas. Beyond IdeaHub, I assisted with strategic executive communication campaigns while ensuring all documents met plain language guidelines. In addition, I researched, wrote, and edited content for the Federal Aviation Administration’s public website, the Department of Transportation's Fast Lane blog, and occasionally provided content support for social media channels.
