Coyote (me) vs Roadrunner (some of the most talented, motivated, and provisioned groups that ever tried to steal from the eBay cash drawer) dynamics. Lose a lot, learn a lot, celebrate the wins, but don’t self pat on back too hard because sometimes when you think you’ve won, you’ve been set up by Roadrunner for an even bigger blow. Ask me how much eBay has paid for my education on IRSF…My team leans more into qualitative analysis to understand fraud beyond the metrics. We identify areas where we can create an effective deterrent, build tools, and carefully monitor the impact. We are the bridge between incident management, data science, and product engineering. Show less I analyze and manage fraud risk to eBay for both current state and to prepare for our payments launch. I identify new trends in fraudulent behavior through different means of anomaly detection and determine the best approach to deter the behavior where every minute means greater potential for loss to the company - all while creating no impact to our vastly good user-base.In late 2019, I was promoted for meeting and exceeding our fraud loss goals, and looking to double our impact in 2020. Show less Okay, I give up. I've been trying for two and a half years to come up with the elevator pitch for my position and it just isn't happening. Here's a list:Build reports through Salesforce and Workday to support legal, compliance, benefits, HR, and so on.Identify gaps in existing reports and auditing and fix said gaps - especially in pay impacting areas to the business.Keep an eye on HR systems pain points from the greater business, fix what I can and act as the voice of the customer where I cannot.Protect and monitor our compliance responsibilities (SOX) for internal and external auditors.Support and mentor our customer facing HR teams, especially in areas of friction within Workday.Identify process pain points, push for improvements, manage change along the way.Represent the Americas HR service center in a global council - more VOCing.Determine misunderstood and underutilized areas for self-service within HR systems, identify root issue, fix root issue, push more of the business to self-serve.Build and maintain relationships with global partners and the greater business at all levels of the company.Anticipate data errors and issues that may impact our employee system of records.Fix data errors that were not anticipated - determine if potential for pattern, and anticipate a little harder next time. Show less I support an organization who partners with some of the largest merchants in eCommerce to improve their overall health, growth, and profitability.I identity data needs and build and maintain reporting in order to meet these requirements and surface new opportunities to improve the businesses we partner with. Also, I support the leadership group by providing reporting on contacts from the merchants, and help set team targets, then monitor the department to ensure that any barriers to our success are identified and resolved. Show less I partner with the largest merchants on the eBay platform to understand their underlying business and identify areas for improvement. I analyze data such as customer feedback, shipping and sales metrics, customer contacts, etc. to identify underlying inefficiencies and opportunities both on the eBay platform and for the core business. At this point, I partner with the merchant to develop a business plan broken down into tangible step by step action items and ensure that lasting change is made, monitor progress to ensure that the expected results are achieved thus improving the overall health and profitability of the business. Show less Lead multiple large scale projects, including data analysis behind top non-performing GMV. Coordinated a team to collect data, identify root causes (site issues, customer behaviors, trends within specific marketplace categories) and presented findings with tailored action plan. Defined role of newly created Feedback (reputation) specialist for Managed Account Support. Created database to track all Feedback removal requests to identify trends, turn-around time, top reporters, issues by specific eBay category, and packaged for meetings.I acted as sole point of contact for the Business and Industrial and Electonics teams, handling internal questions and concerns and conducted routine business analyses to identify issues and opportunities facing specific eBay merchants. In high touch situations, served as sole point-of-contact for high profile accounts. Assisted them in growing their business and rebuilding their relationships with eBay.Assisted with new hire training coming to the team, leading classes through my areas of expertise. Show less As the Feedback Specialist, I worked with both Policy management and the customer service teams to ensure an alignment on the needs of the business and customers. All escalations were my responsibility, and I would ensure they were documented to identify trends and present these findings back through my team.Training for new hires was my responsibility and I would deliver coaching and up-training as needed to ensure my team's success.Played a key role in deploying a new policy pilot program, reviewing use cases and created internal guidelines. Deployment of this policy resulted in a 37% increase with policy satisfaction in the German market. Show less

Six Sigma Green Belt eBay Inc. Sep 2014 Awarded upon successful completion of a project which reduced team waste by identifying steps throughout an existing process which could result in a loss of significant time and effort. By adjusting the process to detect these issues upfront, it allowed for a 'fail faster' mechanic which cut down on risk for lost time and effort. Additional process steps requiring manual data retrieval were automated further increasing productivity.
