  1. Oversees dispatch operations and personnel including scheduling staff efficiently.2. Review and approve time sheets.3. Responsible for ensuring that dispatch staff are monitoring and accounting for all incoming orders that need to be handled.4. Responsible for ensuring that dispatch staff are appropriately receiving, distributing and monitoring completion of all orders according to established policies and procedures.5. Ensuring that staff understand how to operate and utilize tools required to complete duties assigned: general computer use and operations, Nextel/ Blackberry operations and programming, general office skills necessary to complete assigned tasks. 6. Monitor completion of all work assignments that are given, provide assistance to ensure completion.7. Oversees preparation of all Phlebotomist daily work assignments and communication throughout the shift. May include tracking and possible re-routing, when necessary. 8. Work closely with Area/ Regional Phlebotomy Management, Specimen Processing area, Stat Tracking, Customer Service, Call Center, Redraw department and Courier services, to ensure order completion throughout entire shift.9. Ensure that facility requests are appropriately handled. Monitor high priority facility laboratory orders, expedite urgent cases and ensure excellent customer service is being provided.10. Must be able to provide detailed written documentation of issues that occur, throughout the shift. Will conduct investigations of issues originating in the dispatch department. 12. Notifies appropriate Manager(s) of any issues that need to be handled immediately.13. Perform other duties as assigned, help out when attendance issues arise within the office, maintaining positive attitude during crisis.14. Oversee and provide training and guidance to all dispatch and STAT-Tracking staff.15. Works diligently with QA Department to evaluate, enhance and maintain designated quality levels of service.
