  Captured and marked over 6,000 waterfowl for Mississippi Flyway Council. Method of capture was swim-in traps. All access was permission only, which was acquired at each site.

  Assistant area manager of the Justin Hurst Wildlife Management Area in Freeport, Texas. 16,839 acres of native coastal prairie, freshwater impoundments, and salt/brackish marsh. JHWMA offers 4 types of hunting: waterfowl, dove, white-tailed deer, and feral hog. Coastal prairie and coastal marsh habitat management are the main focus of this area. Management is conducted in order to promote key needs of the mottled duck population. At the Justin Hurst WMA, we use a mix of prescribed fire, herbicide, and heavy equipment in order to achieve management goals. Show less
