  Director of Counseling Services

  During my 20 year tenure at North County Lifeline I worked as a social work intern from SDSU. Upon graduation I was hired into my first professional position as "casework counselor". I was soon promoted to supervisor and soon was promoted to "Program Direct" and for the final few years functioned as the "Director of Counseling Services". During this period NCL grew from a small staff of 8 to a large and diverse of over 100 employees, and expanded programming in many ways to better serve an increasingly diverse and high needs community. During the majority of these years I was a member of the "Senior Management Team" overseeing all agency operations. I worked closely with five different directors during my time at "Lifeline", with the majority of the time, 14 years with Shirley Cole. I am proud to say that during this period the agency won many awards, including Outstanding Non-Profit for San Diego County, and I was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors for my work at the agency.   Clinical Director

  Responsible for all clinical programs, including outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling, and school-based mental health and substance abuse services. Supervised all program directors within these departments. Member of the senior leadership team. Responsible for personnel decisions within the clinical programs, departmental organization and evaluation.

  Seattle Pacific University

  Aug 2005 - now

  Provide leadership to a dynamic and inspirational University Counseling Center. The SCC as we call it provides crisis intervention, students assessment, and brief individual, couple, and family therapy. We also offer group therapy, consultation to faculty and staff, and educational programming on campus. The SCC is also a clinical training site for graduate students and developing professionals. The SCC continually strives to develop and protect a culture of service, mutual respect, humanity, teamwork, the valuing of individual and cultural uniqueness, growth, and self-care. Show less
