Sports, fitness, environmental, and cultural opportunities abound, as well as restful places for solitude. The Special Facilities Division of the Parks and Recreation Department consists of 5 golf facilities, the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, 3 amphitheaters, concession operations and countywide special events. Responsible for the operation of 5 golf facilities (93 holes) in Palm Beach County, the golf capital of the world. Manage golf operations for Palm Beach County. Okeeheelee Golf Course, Park Ridge Golf Course, Osprey Point Golf Course, Southwinds Golf Course and John Prince Golf Learning Center. The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, 14th largest in the Nation, manages over 8,000 acres of park properties, including 82 regional, district, community, beach, and neighborhood parks.
