      I was the system owner of F82, which includes the following systems:• Surface water drains• Foul sewage drains• Oil interceptorsThe System Engineer is responsible for ensuring plant is operated, tested and maintained within its safety case envelope. This will include oversight, and acting as the customer for new plant systems and replacement plant projects and in some cases where the plant is modified acting as the Responsible Engineer for plant modifications. The British Energy Graduate Scheme sets out to exposed graduates to the Nuclear Generation business areas by completing various assignments, across different location and departments during the 18-month programme. I worked in Heysham 2, Hartlepool and Heysham 1 Power stations as well as the Barnwood Central Engineering Support office. I worked in Engineering, Work Management, Maintenance, Technical and Safety, Operations Design Authority and Central Protection and Electrical Systems.

      Condition monitoring lead engineer

      I am responsible for the running of and improvements to the Condition Monitoring programme at Heysham 1 power station. I am an experienced Condition Monitoring analyst trained to industry recognised standards for vibration (Lvl 2), Thermographic (Lv 1) and Ultrasound (lvl1). I set the CM schedule for plant, provide advise to Engineering and Operations based upon my expertise, such as plant availability/operability, and innovate in the area of Equipment Reliability, such as the introduction of Thermography and Ultrasound which I brought to Heysham 1.       Field supervisor electrical island r1 2020 statutory outage

      I was the Field Supervisor for National Grid during the R1 2020 Statutory Outage working in the Electrical Island. This role is to supervise the work of transient contractors to ensure the maintenance standards in safety, quality and and environment protection are adhered. The work I supervised was maintenance of transformers, notably using mobile oil processing plants to remove moisture and contaminants from Generator Transformer 1 and Unit Auxiliary Transformer 3A.

      Quality lead r2 2022 statutory outage cw island

      I was the Quality Lead for the Cooling Water Island during the 2022 R2 Statutory Outage. This role is to provide oversite on Quality of the work planed in the outage period. This includes ensuring Quality Plans are used and updated, QC checks are completed on time and with appropriate rigor, the right contract QA arrangements are in place for off-site overhauls, ensuring critical spares are specified to the correct level and discovery milestones are identified and managed to avoid challenges to the outage plan. In addition to this role I also performed the role of Field Supervisor for Ainscough Cranes and area owner of the CW Forebay. Show less
