    • Qualtech NDE

      Nov 2018 - Aug 2022
      Project Manager (NDT Level-II)

      • Developed Ultrasonic and Visual Inspection Wall crawler robot using Arduino for Qualtech NDE, the crawler was used in thickness monitoring of Above ground Oil storage tanks for CML Inspection as per API & ASME Codes. The main advantage of developing indigenous inspection robot was the reduced cost of production which in lieu decreased the cost of inspection by almost 50% and inspection timeframe by 90%.• Developed a portable X-Y Ultrasonic scanning system using immersion technique and Arduino for rapid inspection of Journal bearings of steam turbines and generators. The key advantages of the scanning system were fast inspection and easy reproduction of inspection result (A-scan) at desired area of interest. • Adhering to OSHA and other regulatory requirements for safe and efficient execution of inspection projects. Developed detailed Inspection reports, project schedules, cost, and scope of all the inspection projects.• Supervised Ultrasonic weld inspection of High-pressure steam piping of power plant. Conducted Failure Analysis research study by using Visual and Liquid penetrant inspection of FRF piping of one of the leading power plants of Pakistan and devised a solution to rectify the pitting problem, later the whole inspection task was published in Elsevier as research article.• Management of inspection projects of various shutdown outages of different Steam turbines, Power plant generators and boiler piping and pressure piping of Pakistan in coordination with Lead NDT Level III Inspection for timely completion of project and adherence to scope, time and cost defined in project charter.
