My role was to assess and provide opinions on political cases, so the interests of 13-21 year olds were considered before voting. This job gave me good insight into the workings of political, representative systems, how lobbyism functions in practice as well as strengthening my debating skills.

  Summer Intern in Derivative Sales, Corporate & Public sector

  10-weeks internship working as an analyst in Derivative Sales.My role involved providing in- depth analysis on three specific projects.o A Risk Management Trend Analysis: I analysed 50 of the largest European companies’ risk management practises. I researched how they account for hedging transactions and manage interest rate-, currency- and counterparty risk. The report was distributed to all Nordea’s derivative divisions in the Nordics.o An inflation hedge analysis: Through this project I looked into the historical development in the Danish CPI. The aim of this project was to determine if Danish Municipalities’ incomes are directly influence (correlated) by inflation, and how Nordea should advice their clients to manage this risk.o An analysis of the current challenges facing the shipping industry: I analysed the development in various freight rate indices and held it up against yield forecasts for 3M USD LIBOR and 5Y USD SWAP, which I incorporated into a correlation analysis. I presented the key findings for Nordea’s Shipping Department, on how they should advise the shipping risk managers (clients) to navigate from these risks and the final analysis was passed to Nordea’s shipping clients.
