Have spent the majority of aircraft related tours working on large aircraft fleets on either first-line operations or specialist procurement roles. Have also worked in MOD Main Building in strategy development and have completed 3 tours within the training and education environment.

  Commanded 60 technicians. Maintained the Nimrod aircrew simulator and synthetic training environments.

  Officer commanding sentry line flight

  Commanded a shift of 85 engineering technicians charged with maintaining the 7 Sentry AEW aircraft in the RAF inventory. Spent almsot half of this period deployed to Aviano, Italy running engineering operations on Op DENY FLIGHT as part of the NATO AEW force.

  Part of a 2-man team responsible for selling the commissioned engineer officer role to university undergraduates. Spent a great deal of time on road visiting universities, colleges and technical colleges encouraging a career in the Service.

  Desk officer responsible for management of Sentry AEW Mission Radar, IFF, ESM and Mission Computer systems. Provided in-service support and mission upgrade project management. Led the RAF/Industry team (Boeing and BAe Systems) on the Radar Systems Improvement Programme - £120M upgrade. Won a Minister for Defence Procurement SMART Acquisition award for work on this project.

  Desk officer in Training Agency. Initially worked on Defence trainign Review and lead RAF efforts in implementing e-learning into the Service. Developed policy with Army and Navy colleagues and included successful delivery of a number of e-learning pilot projects - Tornado Managers Course & RAF Police training. Moved to become equipment sponsor for all equipment used to train RAF technicians at RAF Cosford and RAF St Athan, including the management of the fleet of ground training aircraft.

  Lead engineer in Thumrait, Oman during Op ORACLE and Op VERITAS. Responsible for fleet of 15 aircraft and over 450 people, lead the engineering efforts of this force as they provided strategic airlift and AEW support to operations in Afghanistan.

  As Base Manager I lead a team of over 100 Boeing employees supporting the Royal Air Force C-17 Fleet based at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire. I support the C-17 Globemaster Integrated Sustainment (GI3) contract within Boeing Global Services, and manage and shape relationships with the RAF as the on-site Program Manager through the C-17 International Field Services Team. I lead a multi-discipline team who are responsible for supporting daily C-17 sortie generation for the RAF through scheduling, documentation, field engineering & technical support activities, base and line maintenance, support equipment maintenance and supply support.I am also the Accountable Manager for our Mil-145 Approved Maintenance Organization within the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) construct. I am also held responsible to meet US Government Ground and Flight regulation requirements.
