      Vice President of Clinical Services (1998-Present)Areas of responsibility are Pharmacy, Clinical Laboratory, Radiology, Clinical Nutrition, Nutritional Services and Point of Care Testing. Health Information Management through June 30, 2016; Clinical Engineering and Administrative Support from 2001 to 2014. Serve on the ACH Physician Hospital Board and the Credentialing Committee. Serve as primary preceptor for Administrative Fellows.Accomplishments: Project lead for ICD-10 conversion to include implementation of a Clinical Documentation Improvement program and Computer Assisted Coding, implemented a molecular genetics laboratory to cut losses on non-billable outpatient Medicaid tests, hired a genetics counselor that saved $200,000 in ref lab costs the first year, improved MRI patient flow to decrease outpatient wait time by 54% and increase on time starts from 33% to 63%, implemented software for Tissue Tracking, Bedside Medication Verification, and Blood Transfusion Administration Record for bedside barcoding/verification, implemented a molecular diagnostics lab and a metabolic lab to perform second tier newborn screening for the state, implemented LEAN processes in the clinical laboratory and sustained rapid response test turnaround at less than or equal to 30 minutes for 80%-90% of urinalysis, chemistry, hematology and coagulation tests, decreased prior authorization/billing errors in radiology from 32% to 6%, decreased transcription turnaround time by 89%, reduced inpatient failed claims by 67%, decreased the number of overdue records by 79%, increased outpatient pharmacy co-pay collections by 150%, ensured adherence to regulations for successful inspections with the College of American Pathologists, American Association of Blood Banks, the Joint Commission, the Food and Drug Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Arkansas Department of Health, and the Board of Pharmacy.
