  Production assistant

  Prior to studying for a degree in Film & TV Production I had the privilege to intern at Markettiers' London studios. My main responsibilities were to assist with internal studio productions, I also catalogued and ingested shoot rushes for offline edits. Alongside this I assisted with company communications, taking phone calls and applying myself as a runner for a number of projects. While this was a small role, Markettiers opened my eyes to unlimited possibilities within video production and taught me to think outside the box. I was also fortunate to work with some bubbly, lovely people at my time there, which really showed me how much of a family culture and togetherness there can be to productions - something I didn't quite appreciate beforehand.   After university I was fortunate to meet Rich and Kay at Squeezed Media, a wonderful duo who run a unique, streamlined and exciting production house in Soho, London specialising in corporate video content.Such duties included pre-production organisation for shoots in and around the UK and Europe, arranging client business meetings, stringent maintenance of assets archives, folder structures and studio bookings. As well as this I began to practice my editing and motion graphics skills across the adobe suite of applications. Alongside the internal organisation of the office, on-set production responsibilities included lighting set ups and camera operation using Canon c300s and 5Ds as well as boom operator for several interviews. Every day I was on set with the Squeezed Media I was learning something new, it really fed my appetite for production and crafting video content. Show less

Show less After a very successful work experience stint at VCCP I started out with a lovely team in the Kin department as a researcher exclusively for the Living Golf account. CNN's Living Golf is a monthly programme aired globally to around 200 million viewers. Each month focussed on different topics requiring global travel to interview contributors and experts in the world of golf.Responsibilities:- Researching and filtering golf stories for future shows. - Ingesting footage and maintaining file structures. - Camera assistant for domestic and international shoots.- Assisting the post production department.   Autonomous Head of Production department. Independently responsible for delivering on pre-through-post branded content briefs and integrated campaign material for budgets under £100k. A broad range of in-house accountabilities briefly summarised include: end to end project management, deconstructing project briefs, budget control, entire scheduling of project life-cycle, sourcing, directing and managing capacity of multi-disciplinary external suppliers/freelancers, post-production editing and motion graphics animations, project 'QC'ing, managing client amends/review procedures alongside expectations, invoicing and raising POs.Various on-set production roles range depending on brief and budget but not limited to directing crew and talent, camera operator, 1st AD, digital imaging technician, health and safety first aider, technical client liaison.Department responsibilities: updating production processes and unifying project workflows to match industry standards, storage and maintenance of archival material, managing project capacity (doubled) and maintaining revenue (year-on-year increase), ensuring legal compliance of asset usage and contractual obligations were met per project, transcoding video material ahead of project starts, attending to render machines, consolidating timelines (project managing) I've had the fortune to work on hundreds of briefs, giving me the chance to hone a passion for crafting beautiful multimedia content. During this time I've also been able to refine my production methods and workflows to improve upon department efficiencies and overall I've had the pleasure to work collaboratively with so many individuals, dive into some brilliant projects and produce some wonderful work.
