  The primary objective of constituting the Committee is to bring tourism and hospitality industry on the agenda of the state governments. As a team our purpose is identification of important sector specific issues with respect to the Northern Indian states and working along with CII state offices to raise the concerns of the industry, pushing for effective reforms where required, innovating and contributing to the overall growth of tourism, niche tourism and allied businesses.The committee is chaired by Mr. KB Kachru, Chairman Emeritus & Principal Advisor - South Asia, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and Co-chaired by Mr. Apurv Kumar, Managing Director, Clarks Group of Hotels.My focus as part of this highly committed and energetic team is to ensure growth of adventure tourism in India, safe and responsible tourism, spurring innovation in the hospitality business and coordinating with the Government and bureaucracy in order to make - Ease of Doing Business - a working reality.
