      Activities and Societies: Association of Southeastern Biologists, Southern Appalachian Botanical Society I investigated shifts in plant community composition and structure following invasion by the exotic-invasive tree Paulownia tomentosa (princess tree) in the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area in Western North Carolina. My project also involved comparing post-treatment effects of different methods for controlling the invader and investigation genetic diversity of the invader on a landscape scale.
