I need to teach them the skills to be able to effectively help out injured workers while following the WCB Act and Legislation. I am responsible for the 3 month probationary reviews of my trainees and providing feedback throughout their training. Training group sessions last from 2-3 months depending on the position and experience of the trainees. I also work closely with the supervisors of the Claims Department so my trainees have a smooth transition to their work queues. The caseload varied between 30-60 claims depending on the number of injured workers in the area. The main focus was issuing payments to injured workers within one week of receiving the claim in my caseload. This involved heavily planning and organizing of tasks that need to be completed effectively and efficiently. this position required constant contact with injured workers, employers and health care providers.
