  Being the son of a masonry/general contractor allowed me to be apart of the construction industry from the time I can remember. It was this time working for my father that I learned how to work hard and consistently. I was a part of building several houses completely from the ground up. This included concrete work, framing, plumbing, air conditioning, roofing and everything in between.   I started my in electrical construction after my future mother-in-law told me I needed a real career if I wanted to marry her daughter. I was living in Grover Beach at the time and went to work for this Paso Robles based electrical outfit. I worked on the Life Fitness Factory in Paso and then the Bonima Brewery (now Hoovers 101) in Atascadero.

  Electrician

  At Tri State I had the opportunity to work on several grocery stores and pharmacies including Albertsons, Save-on and Ralphs. We remodeled and built many of these stores. I also worked on the project for Level Three Communications in down town Los Angeles. This was a remodel of the 11-14 floors in a high rise building.

  Forman/Electrician

  At Ace Electric in San Diego I was a journeyman electrician and job forman. At ACE I had the privilege of working on many large projects such as the Ray and Joan Crock Center in La Mesa, including a performing arts center, ice skating rink, and gymnasium. I was also able to build the San Diego State Tennis and Softball complex a 2.8 million dollar electrical project. The softball complex used Musco Sports lighting which was a specialty of Ace Electric and allowed me to become an expert at sports lighting installations. Show less
