      I worked at the SU during term time, serving customers, handling cash and cleaning of the bar area, toilets and dismantling of the coffee machine at the end of the shift. The role of Catering Supervisor involved: preparing, storing and cooking food safely; overseeing a team cooking food at busy student events and cleaning of the kitchen and equipment at the end of the night. In this time, I became a fully trained barista and gained my Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate.

Unfortunately, due to a conflict of interest with my new full time role in the Civil Service and life commitments of all involved, we were unable to get off the ground with this project.We raised enough money to cover the costs of the fabulous events we put on and hopefully raised some awareness for those who struggle to find employment and the effects that this can have, particularly on those who are leaving custody.
