The Old Spot is a neighborhood restaurant and bar with exceptional community engagement and strong corporate business ties. Primary Responsibilities: Management reporting and forecasting for both daily management reviews and monthly board meetings. Developed and implemented stock control systems. Adopting and executing food, fire and safety systems.Oversaw staff training and education, acted as project support for the General Manager, and was the primary supervisor of the growing private dining aspect of the business by developing systematic techniques and standards for all events. I acted as the lead relationships manager with the business community that are integral to the restaurant’s business model. Key Achievements:Designed and executed staff training programs in service, food, and wine that significantly increased sales confidence and profitability. Leading to a consistent high standard of service, helping us gain and keep the Michelin recommendation and several industry awards. Coordinated with the business directors and our suppliers to develop front of house staff with professional education courses and cross training events. Worked closely with the head chef and back of house team to design and develop menus that both suited the demands of our core client base, while enticing continuous growth in client acquisition.Cemented key relationships with event coordinators and managers from several local companies and multinationals including Google, IRFU, Airbnb, Price Waterhouse Cooper, and Accenture.Personally developed a strong relationship with the larger Beggars Bush community on behalf of The Old Spot to solidify loyalty and community alliship.
