      As an Intern in Quality Control (QC) for hull structures in new shipbuilding, My role would involve supporting the QC team in various activities related to ensuring the quality of the ship's hull construction. Here are some key responsibilities :1. Assisting with Inspection : I inspect the components and structural systems of the ship's hull. This can include visually inspecting welds, verifying material specifications, measuring dimensions, and assisting with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques under the guidance of a senior team member.2. Documentation and Data Entry : I would assist in maintaining accurate records of inspections, test results, and other quality-related data. This involve entering data into spreadsheets or databases, organizing documents, and ensuring proper documentation of inspection findings.3. Learning Regulatory Compliance : I familiarize myself with relevant regulations, classification society regulations, and industry standards related to the construction of ship hull structures. This knowledge will help me understand requirements and ensure compliance during inspections and tests.4. Participating in Non-Conformance Management : Under the guidance of a senior QC professional, I will help identify and document non-conformances or deviations from standards. I am involved in gathering information, conducting root cause analysis, and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.5. Collaborating and Learning : I work closely with QC teams, shipyard workers and other stakeholders to gain hands-on experience in the shipbuilding industry.
