I also had to ensure all produce was being sold within their sell-by dates, as any food being sold past this could result in large fines for the company.

  Assisting key stakeholders with financial analysis as and when needed, as well as producing government mandated reporting . This includes presenting results to directors on issues like gender pay, ESG reporting, impact of NLW increases across all brands, preparation of statutory accounts and Azzurri's gift card strategy. After five years at Azzurri and many different roles, I have a solid understand of how the business as a whole works and find myself frequently called upon for help on specific problems that I have understanding on from previous experience. This role has been a great way for me to build on my business partnering skills to provide key information to upper management, as well as my presentational skills when reporting on my findings. Show less Creating weekly and monthly board packs containing financial results to key stakeholders in relation to food costs to the business, as well as providing analysis around any interesting/problematic results. I also prepared accurate and timely monthly balance sheets in a regular period end process. I was later promoted to looking after labour costs and supporting the colleague who had taken on my food costs area. These roles were excellent for teaching me not only the accounting side of business transactions but also how to use this information to provide financial information to management for them to use to drive business change.
