It was through ASDA that I became a folic acid ambassador. This program helped my leadership and communication skills. Along with ASDA, I was very involved with Slow Foods-ASU, a global organization concentrating on the support of local farmers. Through this club, I helped lead the organization (specifically the promotion) of an event called "Feastival," which was a family friendly festival promoting eating healthy, local foods. This event took place in Boone, NC.I also volunteered in a non-profitable restaurant called Farm Café, where I prepared meals for about 100 people each shift. Show less
