      Retired from PSEG after career spanning over thirty years. During this time span I had the opportunity to work with all of the various operating groups within the Public Service Enterprise Group of companies including Public Service Electric & Gas Company, PSEG Services Corporation and PS Power LLC and PSEG Energy Holdings. My responsibilities where to manage detailed scientific research projects focusing on environmental, generation, transmission, gas and electric delivery issues. Provide quarterly strategic technology risk assessments for new and emerging technologies for PSEG’s Executive Operating Group. Prepare project budget estimates, obtain funding, monitor and control expenses, manage field personal, conduct field audits, troubleshoot technical and operational problems, and conduct detailed benefits assessments at project’s end.Highlights include;* Led technology assessment team to evaluate Plug-in Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicles and charging infrastructure requirements for the development and launch of a “Plug-in Ready” program for PSE&G. * Research lead for PSE&G with the Electric Power Research Institute in area of electric transportation development and infrastructure requirements for Plug-in Hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicles. * Developed program opportunities for PSE&G in response to New Jersey Energy Master Plan in the area of airport, port and truck stop electrification.* Evaluated advanced CO2 reduction, storage and transportation technologies for PS Power LLC. * Analyzed emerging technologies for new business opportunities such as dispersed generation for industrial peak shaving and use of off peak lighting for agricultural purposes.* Leveraged company assets with outside organizations including the Electric Power Research Institute, Gas Research Institute, DOE and USEPA to conduct specific research for improvements in utility operations.       Over a nine year period actively participated and oversaw the day-to-day management of all Township matters that affected not only the five thousand local citizens but also the thousands of commuters that visited the town of Cranbury each day. Promoted the township to attract new business growth, which resulted in the development of approximately one hundred million dollars in new industries ratables within a five-year period from 1994-1999. Directed the permanent preservation of over 1000 acres of farmland and parkland within the community. Led negotiation team in dealing with local bargaining unit personnel on several multi year contract agreements that resulted in a significant savings of long-term medical liability costs. Key liaison with members of county, state and federal agencies regarding issues such as affordable housing, land planning, farmland preservation and transportation. Elected to a third term in office from January 2006 through December 2008. Show less
