      May 2010 - Jun 2010
      Engineering intern

As a trainee, I learned operation and maintenance of combined cycle power plant. Besides this, I performed scheme tracing of PPCL (i.e. two gas turbine units combined with a steam turbine unit).

    • Indian railways

      Jul 2010 - Jul 2010
      Engineering trainee

As a trainee, I studied overhead electrical (OHE) modification of a train coach, rolling stock operation (RSO) of rail engines and traction management.

      Graduate student researcher

We at BEARS, develop resilient power-electronics rich power distribution network for zero-energy buildings. The next generation power distribution network will be as complex as present-day INTERNET. We enable peace-of-mind in operation and maintenance of these emerging power distribution network by using concepts of cyber-physical systems, feed-forward and human-centered design, distributed computing and data science.

At NUS, We manage and teach laboratory experiments for undergraduate-level power electronics course (EE2025).

    • Solar energy research institute of singapore

      Oct 2016 - Dec 2018
      Visiting researcher

Our goal is to develop fault-aware self healing junction box-level power electronics for next generation PV systems. For instance, building integrated photovoltaics (BIPVs), rural region PV applications etc. We test and validate the fault diagnosis and remediation algorithms in field and analyze their impact on performance and dependability of these PV systems to achieve the stated goals.

    • University of california, berkeley

The goal here is to investigate the adaptive learning algorithms for developing digital twins of cyber-physical power electronic based energy systems. Specifically, we explore the adaptive parameter identification algorithms for estimating various parameters of power electronic circuits, such as capacitor, inductor etc.

    • Xilinx

      Jan 2019 - Jul 2019
Researcher at xilinx research labs at xap

Domain: High-performance computing for data centers.Skills: Linux, Bash\PERL scripting, C, VHDL\Verilog\SystemVerilog, Hardware modelling, UVM, Vivado, QuestaSimKey learnings: Ethernet protocols (IP/TCP), AXI protocols, NetworkingIn my internship with Xilinx, I worked on improving Quality of Service (QoS) through packet scheduling for better traffic management at Network Interface Card (NIC) (at data plane).Packet networks allow users to share resources such as buffer and link bandwidth. Given a number of users multiplexed at the same link, a packet scheduling discipline is needed to determine which packets to serve (or transmit) next. Since data traffic is loss-sensitive, sophisticated scheduling algorithms (max-min scheduling, round-robin service, weighted round-robin, weighted fair queuing) are required to prioritize users' traffic to meet various QoS requirements while fully utilizing network resources.I worked on those packet schedulers where I wrote/modified a variety of FSMs to achieve timing closure and system verification of that module of a programmable NIC with clock frequency of 156.25 MHz.
