Family & community health associates
Jun 2004 - Jul 2013Director of operationsI led 55 physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and support workers at six locations. I maximized production by creating policies, managing daily operations, and maximizing supplies and human resources. Negotiating physician malpractice insurance annually showed my money management skills. I saved my financial expertise and negotiated an 8% reduction in 2013 company-wide health insurance premiums, saving thousands.Overseeing physician credentials and licensing verification was crucial. I attentively coordinated insurance network, DEA, and state licensure re-credentialing applications. I coordinated staff recruiting, promotion, and termination with the Medical Director and clinical supervisors, documenting these events. I implemented a state-of-the-art document scanning system that interacted with the EMR to improve operational efficiency. This innovation significantly improved patient data sharing between locations.Additionally, I created a complete employee orientation packet to streamline onboarding. New physicians, clinical and non-clinical personnel had a seamless experience, boosting productivity and engagement. I updated the employee evaluation program to improve performance management and staff development. Managers gave their staff helpful feedback and support by streamlining and deepening the annual review process.Furthermore, I created the company's first support staff training handbook to provide consistent, high-quality service. Managers should improve on-the-job training for new hires, improving service quality. I prioritized employee satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, I customized employee benefits packages annually to ensure personnel understood their advantages. I also created a formulary-based patient incentive program with the pharmacy manager. This initiative improved patient care and pharmacy services revenue. Show less
