  CONTRACT DUTIES1. Contract planning and evaluation of the works2. Programme monitoring with ongoing progress evaluation on all contracts3. Contract resource requirements on all projects4. Extension of time and cost claims5. Communication between Contractor, Sub-contractors and Suppliers6. Monitoring of Sub-contractor installations, progress and quality.7. monitoring and adjustment of workforce/labour requirements in line with tender/programme requirements.8. Safety regulations in line with O.H.S.A. Act 85.9. Management and co-ordination of monthly site management meetings per project.10. Management and co-ordination of monthly Sub-contractors meetings11. Planning, programming and scheduling of all resources and equipment.FINANCIAL1. Cost controls on all elements of construction2. Positive input to ensure an improved profitability on the projects all round.3. Ensure good contract performance on progress, productivity, quality and improved profitability.4. Verification and approval of contract management accounts and final verification and approval of CRS (Contract Reconciliation Sheets) per contract.5. Management and approval of draft final accounts with daily input into remeasures, extra items, new items, V.O.’s, S.I.’s and incorporation into S.I. book and submission of new items and rates6. Verification of all Creditors invoices per week on all projects7. Contract budget forecasts, cash-flows and turnovers in conjunction with Contract SurveyorsGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Staff and labour requirements with timeous adjustments of workforce2. Ongoing communication with all members of staff:- Contract Surveyors- Plant Manager- Buyer- Creditors4. Site security and safety control5. Striving to improve team spirit, project teamwork and company dedication at all levels of management/workforce.6. Regular communication with Contracts Manager on all the above items.7. Liaison with Clients and Consultants on a regular basis. Show less
