  In addition to my main job function I was commissioned to spend time developing a functioning web application utilizing High Definition 3D models created from spatially accurate point clouds obtained by a High Definition Laser Scanner. Regularly consulted with managers to recommend IT applications and equipment including computer build details using redundant raid drives and huge amounts of memory and processing to handle scan data files that exceeded 60 Gigabytes. Also did web design, obtaining domain name, setting up server and designing site and web pages for communication of scan data to clients so they could immediately see scan data as soon as it was uploaded to server. I was also responsible for collecting and analyzing field data for the purpose of locating land boundaries and future improvements. Field data was also used by Engineers to Design Improvements per client needs. I collected field data using high precision GPS equipment utilizing cellular connection to internet server for GPS correction. Used Leica Scan Station 2 High Definition Laser Scanner for collecting field data and then imported data using state of the art application to import and create 3D models of scanned area to precision as high as 2mm of error. Also submitted proposals and bids, handled some marketing and established and maintained relationships with new and existing clients. I also was responsible for the IT needs of the North Las Vegas office. Including Web Design, Created Database to organize field data for 65 different projects including forms and reports. I also created a simple application to import field data to dated sub directory on server automatically when data collector was plugged into computer via usb port. Show less
