  Internship - Cytokine-Mediated Modulation of Cancer-Associated Fibroblasts

  -Study the emergence and activation of CAF in 3D co-culture spheroids constituting MLS cancer cells and fibroblasts, using cytokines TGFβ and IL1β. These activate the subtypes myCAF and iCAF respectively.-Treated 3D spheroids of cancer cells and fibroblasts with cytokines to study the tumor microenvironment.-Used advanced staining to quantify collagen deposition and structural irregularities.-Designed presentations summarizing research findings.-Analyzed and interpreted results of the approach based on outcomes and provided certain hypothesis to guide further research.-Collected large volumes of data with high accuracy using Bright field microscopy and Fluorescence micrscopy.
