  Using Lean and other Sigma Six techniques, I've successfully turned a 3-man "fireman squad" into an agile, proactive, customer-service oriented group of team players who are knowledgeable in many aspects of the growing needs of a modern corporate health company, rather a group of people who know a lot about computers.At the end of my first year, I've reduced a daily caseload from 125 cases to an average of 12 cases, and saw an improvement in end-user customer satisfaction from the mid 80's to 97%, (SLA improvement from 85% to 100%). I have contributed to development of a modern disaster recovery system and rapid-response backup protocol where there was previously a singular tape drive and a heavy reliance on our parent company for whatever they might be able to save as well. Once the DR protocols were in place, I took over management of all of QHR's backup systems, including server maintenance, archival storage methods, and rapid-recovery options using both cloud-based and LTO-based solutions.I also am currently developing a training schedule and deployment of a Windows 8 Enterprise environment utilizing mobile technology such as smartphones and tablets versus desktop and laptops in an effort to allow our globally-minded company goals to not be hindered by the equipment in their carry-on.   I joined the company in December with one real goal before me: rebuild, upgrade, and document. With a fantastic helpdesk team under me, and an incredibly knowledgeable and capable management team, my primary function is to close off and prevent any compliance issues that our infrastructure has, both end-user side and server side. To do this, I've completely redesigned and implemented the patching and AV protocols for desktops and servers, and worked closely with the compliance and networking team to implement some best use procedures that both keep flexibility in end user habits as well as safeguards to prevent frivolous mistakes from creating large company-wide problems.
