  • Work as a technical product manager to lead three systems to provide market and credit risk limit and report.• In the LEM Yolus demise project, the key achievement is to lead the team of 10 developers to replace a vendor aggregation engine by fully in-house built cloud ready solution. The key technologies used include Spring, Java RingerBuffer and Redis. As result, this project helped the bank saves $1.5m USD in next 5 years. • In addition, one more initiative delivered is to provide a new user interface by ReactJS + AGrid to replace a legacy portlet application being developed over 10 years. The CI/CD pipeline also be improved with the integration of Jenkins and Ansible. As a result, the number of releases being doubled in 12 months. Voir moins • Traded Risk Cloud Migration is a three-year programme that aim to migrate $25m USD on- premise hardware to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The goal is to reduce 30-40% of the running cost. During this period, I worked as a programme manager to plan, design and implement the strategy for migration. • Key achievements in this role includes establishing a cloud migration strategy, producing an architecture blueprint and promoting an awareness in the department. • In addition, I led the Proof-of-concept project with 5 developers on GCP Dataflow and Big Query that aim to replace vendor solution. As part of the programme, many workshops being conducted between Google engineers, architects and development team. There are more than 60 developers across London, Hong Kong and China Guangzhou and Xian. • The first key contribution in this role is to transform the team to run in Agile and DevOps. As a result, the average release frequency being increased from monthly to week and the but the incident dropped by 20%. • During this period, I also taken up a 5 years software contract negotiation with a software vendor, which is very key to the business and IT. Besides, there was other great people management experience is to being seconded to Xian development center for four months to build up the team with over 100 developers. During this period, the key deliverables include high level solution design, development and release management. Part of this role requires to manage the software vendor to ensure the quality of delivery. • In addition, I led a cross team project to execute an annual PRA Stress Testing exercise required by regulator. • Technology based on software vendor ActiveViam, Spring and React. Voir moins Strategic Risk Aggregation is a java based Market Risk Data Aggregation System. It is joint implemented by vendor and in-house developers. It provides a common ETL platform to centralized feeds from various risk systems and aggregates the risk figures in real-time basis. This project significantly improves the Market Risk Managers efficiency on risk calculation. My responsibilities on this project are acted as both System Analyst and Project Manager. ● Participate in the full project life cycle including initial analysis, requirements definition, data analysis, project schedule planning and hardware deployment ● Act as key contact person in the team and communicate with hierarchy systems representatives, Global Market Risk Management Users, Operations, QA and Infrastructure teams to identify areas for implementation● Perform database schema, cube design by using Oracle 10g, Java SpringBatch, Castor and vendor product ActivePivot● Apply best practice in development cycle by using Rational Team Concert (RTC), Maven deployment tool ● Manage vendor implementation schedule and deliverables ● Interact with management and business to provide regular status update on any issues, milestones and risk Voir moins
