As a servant leader and people first manager, I led a team of professionals and am responsible for implementing a strategic vision for engagement by supporting programming and leadership development, providing budget oversight, and developing inclusive and equitable collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders. I have effectively managed multiple projects, committees, and initiatives to create a highly effective team and engaged community. This has resulted in higher retention rates, sustainable excellence, and successful collaborations at all levels of the organization. Successes included new divisional partnership with the student governance structure, maintaining continued engagement of audiences both online and in-person, and adapting services and programs annually through data and assessment to meet new challenges and needs.Key duties included budget management (participatory budgeting model for 2.9 million dollars annually), design and facilitation of leadership and DEI training, and annually supporting the coaching and development of 30+ leaders. Show less As a member of the Center for Leadership and Service (CLS) and Multicultural Affairs (MCA) Unit, I supported the implementation of our annual program offerings and services. Helping lead a team of leadership advisors across both departments, we were able to create one of the most engaged diverse student communities within the Community and Technical College system in Washington State. As the first person in this role, I effectively served the institution by providing innovative practices that supported and developed a diverse student organizations and clubs program. I was successful in growing the program each year through successfully training 70+ student leaders. I was able to increase identity based organizations by 100% and help sustain growth over my time in the position. In addition, I developed leadership training and cultivated community partners that resulted in increase retention and growth of the club program. In this role I learned and continued to develop how I serve diverse populations. Implementing culturally responsive approaches, community centered practices, and active listening I was able to successfully outreach and increase the involvement of students with disabilities, concurrently enrolled students, and students from underrepresented backgrounds. Show less As the program assistant, I provided direct support and clerical assistance to the Director of Multicultural Affairs and Leadership. As a new professional I was able to leverage my skills and knowledge to help rebrand the department's social media presence. In addition I worked with the Director and staff to coordinate and arrange events and workshops, maintain the Multicultural Affairs website and other departmental publications. A year later, I was provided the opportunity to supervise and train unit’s front desk team and became a training facilitator for workshops and professional development opportunities. Show less
