      Global Buddy SuperLeader

Global Buddies is a peer support programme for visiting students coming to the University of Edinburgh for one or two semesters. The aim is to support visiting students as they transition into a new academic and cultural environment. At the same time, Global Buddies gives full-degree students at the University of Edinburgh an opportunity to learn about other cultures and to meet people from across the world. All participating students are matched into Buddy Groups, consisting of two full-degree students (Buddy Group Leaders) and 20-25 visiting international students (Global Buddies). These Buddy Groups are at the heart of the programme and then a number of these groups are then overseen by a "super group leader"- my role! They meet up regularly and offer an invaluable social network throughout the semester. In addition, there are events and activities as well as training and various other opportunities. Show less
