My research focuses on organic chemistry and enzyme biology to create novel antibacterials for industrial synthesis. I assist in the teaching of undergraduates with practical classes in the teaching labs at the University of Manchester, along with experience in teaching masters students in research laboratories. Conducting tours of the school of Chemistry and the campus for prospective students and their parents.

      I was assisting in the scientific research being carried out on the island of Utila, by Kanahau. My research involved bats and the endemic Iguana, along with general work carried out by the facility. I wrote a blog of my time on the island, to increase awareness of the work that Kanahau is doing and to raise awareness of the need to conserve Utila.
