      Director of Strategy Division in 607th Air & Space Operations Center (607 AOC). Responsible for the development and implementation of strategy for air and space power on the Korean peninsula. Led a division with six officers and one civilian. Regularly briefed the Commander, Seventh Air Force (Lt Gen Trexler) as well as a variety of general officer gatherings. Studied the art and science of air, space, and cyberspace power to defend the United States and protect its interests. As a student, I studied three core subject areas during the 10-month course: Strategy and Policy, Joint Maritime Operations, and National Security Decision Making. I was an Instructor Pilot at the F-16 Fighter Training Unit. I instructed new and returning pilots to fly and employ the F-16. As an ADO, I was responsible for scheduling and resource management.

      I commanded three squadrons with approximately 300 Airmen at eight locations in Germany and Italy providing direct support to US Army Europe in the form of command and control of close air support as well as battlefield weather services. I was the senior Airman advising the USAREUR Commanding General and his staff. I was also the liaison officer between United States Air Forces Europe (USAFE) and USAREUR. I relinquished command and relocated to the Boise, ID area in Aug 2015 as I transition from Active Duty Show less I was the senior Air Force adviser to the 19,000 soldiers of the First Infantry Division located at Fort Riley, KS. I deployed to Iraq for one year with the Division Staff - serving in both Basrah and Baghadad (Camp Victory). While deployed, I commanded the 82nd Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron -- leading 60 Airmen in 11 separate locations throughout Iraq. I was also the lead Air Force planner for the development the plan to redeploy all US military forces from Iraq during 2011. In addition to strategic development, I led AF participation in wargaming and authored the AF-specific annexes and appendices to the plan. As Director of Operations (DO), I was responsible for oversight of all facets of squadron operations including long-range and daily scheduling as well as training, standardization/evaluation and safety. As the DO, I deployed all or part of the squadron to seven locations on three continents for training. This assignment culminated in a four month combat deployment to Iraq from Sep 08 until Jan 09, where the squadron conducted daily, around-the-clock combat operations for 119 of 120 days. Show less
