      Thesis dealt with identifying microbial hotspots in the Atlantis Massif -an actively serpentinizing body in the Atlantic Ocean, home of the Lost City of the Atlantis Massif. This was accomplished by extracting amino acids, and organic acids from hydrothermal fluids collected in Fall 2015 on IODP Expedition 357.
