      Managing a team of HSE specialists within a portfolio of six remote sites holding a capacity of 250 employees and multiple work streams. Being part of a 2.5-billion-dollar contract and situated within the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia. A variety of operations were mobilized with zero incidents occurring. Key responsibilities/Accomplishments:• Experience in managing a team of OHS specialists, identifying individual strengths and areas for improvement, and ensuring employees felt empowered and supported to reach their potential skillset• Plan and conduct toolbox talk’s to over 100 staff and managers • Training Bus drivers in 54-seater buses under a variety of conditions• Design comprehensive Safety Management Plans (SMP); lead and contribute to client safety meetings and inductions • Perform Incident / Injury Investigations utilizing effective methodologies and composing company and client reports, and remedial actions utilizing effective control measures. • Manage audits and develop and drive improvement plans and outcomes in line with legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice including management systems and company procedures• Create and deliver inductions to install safe practices for new employees and visitors• Experience in HSE management systems for facilities maintenance teams including all trades.       My role as a Regional HSE Manager involved management of a prolific array of segments, providing myself a diverse variety of Health, Safety and Environment experience within: Healthcare, Corporate, Education and Energy and Resources Services. Within the role I had regular Interaction with project and operations managers in assisting with understanding; risk scope, company HSE Management Plans and implementation of risk management strategy. My direct reporting line was to the National HSE Manager with a portfolio of 18 workplaces across a variety of Australian regions, which I travelled to regularly leading OHS objectives and embedding company strategic improvement plans.Within my remit I managed a team of eight OHS professionals. Key responsibilities/Accomplishments:• Establish a strong link with senior management, operations, clients support departments and service• Quarterly Business reviews, project proposals, innovation and change strategy and injury statistical analysis • Management of eight HSE advisors across a variety of sites to guide best practice, support individual development plans and promote internal networking• Lead investigator for high potential/outcome incidents • Provide technical support and advice to management and Service Partners in relation to legislative and company requirements;• Manage company and client driven HSE activities, programs, drills, meetings;• Preparation of HSE KPI reports for communication to management;• Ensure reports and reporting data is made available to management and or relevant external authorities as required.• Act as a point of contact for Service Partners and addressing concerns and complaints for HSE issues.• Establish HSE management plans for the division which supports the organization wide HSE management system.• Provide HSE specialist advice, technical and management support to the commercial business units(s)/division. Key responsibilities/Accomplishments:• Key achievements consisted of prioritizing immediate areas of improvement to mitigate high potential risks to employees using high risk equipment.• Development of risk assessments for existing mechanical equipment, and verification of competency assessments allowing operator upskilling of safety practices.• Involving subject matter experts in onsite training programs, embedding onsite feedback• Bringing an enthusiastic, approachable and informative engagement with employees in the workplace leading to boosted morale and a reduced all injury frequency rate • Implementing a health and safety meeting schedule, embedding a forum for employees to raise workplace concerns, and to present toolbox talks, focusing on innovative and informative topics presented in kinesthetic learning styles• Encouraging employees to raise continuous improvement opportunities • Coaching managers on local legislative requirements, codes of practices and safety obligations under state legislation and acts.• Implementing a practice of manager safety walks, inspecting workplaces and job tasks for potential hazards and areas of improvements• Implementation of critical risk management strategies, to mitigate entanglement and crushing risks from moving equipment. Training package developed in line with government guidelines including isolation of hazardous energies. • Creating site specific safe operating procedures and traffic management plans • Safe management and storage of chemicals on site, including sourcing correct storage equipment, and training for chemical handling and segregation.
