      ● Design, validate, and implement packaging solutions for LED consumer lamp and LED Outdoor fixture products to meet product launch deadlines, as well as perform package redesign on existing products ● Communicate daily with manufacturing plants based in China to identify primary package structures for new LED consumer lamp SKUs - assisting in the SKU listing process by then entering specification data, creating Bills of Material, and uploading files for graphic layout into GE’s internal PLM system ● Generate in-store POP displays for large retailers (Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Costco, Target) by using 3D modeling to convey design concepts to cross-functional teams, ultimately arriving at packaging solutions tailored to the sales goals of specific product lines & retail chains ● Design industrial packaging solutions for LED Outdoor fixture products by identifying potential package designs/materials, comparing material costs and assembly times, and qualifying final designs through ISTA testing● Travel to GE and Packaging Supplier manufacturing plants throughout the United States, Mexico, and China in order to better understand processes & opportunities for cost reduction ● Assist in the implementation of new packaging solutions by providing supplier quotes, demand planning estimates, and inbound packaging information to Distributors and Purchasing teams● Support various company and department initiatives such as e-commerce packaging solutions, packaging sustainability tracking, packaging supplier price benchmarking, and analysis of plant-specific purchasing strategies for packaging materials Show less

      2016 GE EcoAward - Honorable Mention GE Corporate Sustainability Nov 2016 Improved packaging sustainability at GE's Hendersonville, North Carolina plant by replacing EPS foam inserts with recycled molded fiber designs. In addition to packaging material cost savings, this resulted in improved sustainability metrics of 50-70% across categories such as IPCC global warming potential, primary energy demand from renewable and non-renewable resources, and total freshwater use.
