Show less As part of a busy and forward thinking team, I led the planning, preparation and delivery of key marketing and publicity campaigns. I helped deliver a wide range of high quality marketing initiatives to support existing and emerging audiences.Key roles:- Implementing coordinated marketing campaigns across multiple council portfolios including Ipswich Museums Service, the Regent Theatre & Corn Exchange, parks, elections, sports services, and general council communications.- Developing strong collaborative relationships with local cultural and business partners and constructing shared marketing initiatives and campaigns.- Overseeing the management of all social media accounts associated with Council services and curating relevant and interesting content tailored to each audience.- Assisting senior management with crisis and emergency communication support. Show less Coordinating the Council's obligation to fulfil duties under the Freedom of Information Act 2001. Acting as the point of contact for information requests and responsible for logging, tracking and monitoring all incoming queries.I ensure that requests for information are dealt with in a timely manner within the 20 working day statutory deadline, working with officers at all levels within the Council. I provide advice and support service to all Council service areas and business units in respect of the Data Protection Act, 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act, 2000 and any other related legislation. I work to promote transparency within the Council to develop a culture of data sharing and an understanding of the efficiencies which come with releasing data freely. This involves administering the FOI disclosure log on the Council's website, and developing ways to freely provide other information for public consumption.A further role is working with Customer services to adapt the process within their CRM system; streamlining the process within a cohesive online structure. Show less 1) My work within the Community Engagement & Diversity team aims to develop suitable and relevant structures to empower local communities to engage with the Council. We are growing local democracy in the form of Area Committees, which commission projects to impact in communities; these provide a platform for members of the public to engage with public services, 3rd sector organisations, and funding to make meaningful, positive changes in their neighbourhoods.2) I manage our engagement through social media and online networking; developing strong links between the Council, residents, and local VCS groups. Our position online is key to future engagement with social media not only enabling us to allow the public to engage on an ever growing platform, but also to listen and understand our communities through their online discussion.3) I oversee the administrative aspect of Area Committee, and community grant funding; ensuring that payments are prompt, records are accurate & the required support is given to VCS and community groups. I also develop website functions enabling Area Committee information is easy to access and in a format that is understandable by the diversity of the community.4) A key part of understanding communities is through our use, and analysis of data; I support the production of the annual 'State of Ipswich' report, a joint venture between Ipswich Borough Council, and University Campus Suffolk (UCS). This report is based on key themes and trends across Ipswich and aims to provoke discussion, and encourage further research on topics of interest from around the town. Show less
