      Sept 2019 - May 2021

Working for Professor Rory Miskimen, building particle detectors for the GlueX Experiment in Hall D of the Jefferson Lab in Newport News, Virginia. Conducted the construction of Multi-Wire Proportional Chambers (MWPC) for Muon/ Pion detection in teams of 2-4 using soldering, carpentry, epoxying, 3D printing, PCB Design, and power tool experience Manual writing and construction of a miniature model of an 8-inch x 8-inch functional model of the larger MWPCsWrote a lab manual for how to design, print, manufacture, construct, and build miniature detectors so that future research assistants can do research on themCreated various 3D printed vacuum caps using AutoCAD to help create tools to clean the detectors. Currently redesigning the miniature detectors. I am also working to design a new high voltage system to run our detectors using a Raspberry Pi and other internet of things devices. Show less
