      This role required me to work alone or as a team to successfully install cabling infrastructure in various businesses throughout the UK. As a mobile engineer, flexibilty was key and was often asked to work out of hours. Customer skills were also important in this role as I was customer facing for 80% of the time.       After working in a contracting capacity for Actemium from September 2011 to February 2012, I was then employed as a full member of staff to continue my role as Contract Engineer overseeing infrastructure installations at Jaguar Land rover at Gaydon, Warwickshire.My role included quoting, designing, financial management, man management, health and safety (IOSH) and procurement..... In short, I was fully responsible for overseeing project life cycle.Whilst I was at Actemium, I co-ordinated and project managed a £1.5 million data cabling installation at Jaguar Land Rover's Research and Development building in Gaydon Warwickshire, this was a successfull installation in both financial and operational aspects. This project required the installation of a new Cat6a infrastructure in a busy occupied environment, when installed GDEC was migrated from the former Cat5 system to the new Cat6a solution, this included newly designed MERs and hub rooms. Other projects at JLR included upgrading Power Train's data system and migration from their old Cat5 system to the newly installed Cat6a solution.       Projects:RBS - Melville Gate Hall 7:Hall 7 was a high profile project that needed a high quality installation, good communication and the ability to be flexible as the design was fast moving. Hall 7 had Commscope Multi-mode/Single-mode fibre and Cat6a solution installed. I was originally hired on a 3 month contract. My responsibilities were as follows: Monitor drawings, project specification, programming, project costing from tender stage to PC.• Instruct and monitor LMG site manager and subcontractors as required.• I was involved in the Design of Melville Gate Hall 7, as this was a Commscope pre-term fibre / Cat6A solution, accuracy was a key element of bringing this project through successfully. Design submissions from myself to RBS technical project team throughout the project ensured client satisfaction. • Production and submission of O&M manuals, warranty applications and final handover docs.• Set up all site health and safety / inspection documentation, monitor and examine ongoing folder contents.• Liaised with manufacturers to ensure quality was not compromised, regular correspondence with Commscope was effective in overcoming any manufacturing issues.• To ensure the project was delivered in accordance with company and customer processes procedures. Point 72:Point 72 is an asset management company that needed full Cat6A infrastructure, Physical security and AV installed. Below are the elements of the project that were important to complete works.• Generation and submission of O&M manuals, warranty applications and final handover certification.• Set up all site health and safety / inspection documentation.• Liaised with AV and physical security contractors to deliver client specifications. • Ensure that the Point 72 project was delivered in accordance with company and client specifications• Liaise with consultants to up sell where it was necessary.• Liaised with commissioning contractors to bring the project to completion.
