  Rescued a £30m project for the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) that was failing in product delivery and in timescales. Introduced new secure encryption products and gained approval from UK Government accreditor (CESG). Drove difficult re-negotiations with customers and suppliers and introduced several new changes. Turned the project around delivered it successfully The network has now been providing a reliable and secure service to the Police, Fire and Ambulance services as well as the British Army for several years. Show less Led team of 6 Project Managers and 50+ field staff to deliver a £300m+ secure emergency services IT & telecoms network (Airwave) across Great Britain. Oversaw the installation and integration of 8 major switching centres and some 3,000 base sites. This project was considered the most successful PFI project by the UK Government and seen as a great success by Airwave and Motorola management. Also led a small team that re-wrote Motorola’s Project Management Guide which subsequently passed an ISO audit without any observations. Show less

Managed multi-million dollar bid to Libyan Government for nationwide IT & telecoms to support Libyan Army, Police and National Oil Company. Spent several months in Tripoli negotiating with customers and I was to be the Project Director in Tripoli responsible for nationwide delivery. Final bid submitted in February 2011 - contract signature was imminent but opportunity was lost when the old regime fell.

  Managed a large multi-million pound 18-month IT programme for Barclays Bank. Led 4 project managers and 40 engineers to deliver 12 projects that migrated key live business services across IT platforms. All projects delivered successfully and was awarded ‘Global Achievement Award’ at end of first year for successful business delivery.Also led two successful internal projects to (a) change company name from Integralis to NTT Security in all operating countries and (b) roll out Salesforce (SFDC) to all international offices.
