  Contributed to the team that opened eight newly constructed apartment and suite residences (approximately 900 beds), and was directly responsible for the overall administration of 300 residents in suite-style living. Supervised all aspects of an area-wide twenty-four hour desk serving the complex, as well as supervised community facilitators and programming assistant. After a year of operation proposed and implemented a new student staff position based on needs assessment. Worked in a team of three graduate hall directors and area coordinator to serve the needs of 1150 co-education students. Directly supervised eight resident assistants in all capacities, including on-going training, community development and evaluation. Additional advised hall government and adjudicated conduct.

  Prepared a group of fifty diverse high school students for the rigors of college life through advising, personal and academic development and serving as a resource as part of a federal US Department of Education grant program. I was responsible for coordinating the yearly performance report of Upward Bound activities utilizing Microsoft Access.

  While at the University of Minnesota Rochester, I was part the extraordinary team that took grew a branch campus into a formally recognized system campus that is responsible for all aspects of the student experience from recruitment through alumni relations. In eight short years the team developed the processes, established public and private partnerships, and managed the institutional change that come with the additional responsibilities of an autonomous unit.

  I was responsible for helping to coordinate and support research related activities across the Human Services Division, which consists of ten departments in five physical locations. Depending on the project, and needs of the team, I assisted others with high level tasks such as formulating research questions, designing research projects, and developing an appropriate scope.   I have a broad scope of work as I support a number of projects ranging from multi-site, multi-year grants to local projects which focus on an individual community served by Essentia Health. I also make time for activities aimed at improving my own skills while improving process efficiency within Essentia Health. Depending on the project and needs of the team, I engage in project planning, data collection, data analysis, reviewing and summarizing existing literature, as well as drafting and reviewing material for dissemination. I collaborate with internal and external constituents to achieve the Essentia Institute of Rural Health’s goals of improving the patient experience of care, improving population health, and reducing the per capita cost of healthcare.
