I was responsible for preparing students for tournaments all while making sure they were having fun with the new material being taught. I was also responsible for getting students to tournament, signed up for it as well as making them more confident to compete. It was a great experience.

      The responsibilities as a counselor are to make sure kids are safe in every way and behaving correctly with their peers and with staff members. I am stationed at different schools in the mornings so kids can come before school starts and also in the afternoon so kids can come once they are dismissed for the day. We are responsible for taking attendance, having the right amount of children, calling parents if anyone is missing right away and inspecting the area to serve a safe environment as we organize games and crafts.
