  Awarded the 2018 Excellence in Applied Energy Engineering Research by U.S. Department of Energy for thesis project proposal: “Solar Energy / Energy Storage Discharge Models and Analysis of Regional Electricity Utility Usage Based on Interval Data in West IAC Region” • Oversaw all Center operations including the writing, editing, and delivery of technical reports, and management of team of 12 undergraduate student engineers.• Led facility assessments requiring regular communication with facility personnel from shop floor workers to company presidents. Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, the SDSU IAC has conducted over 600 energy assessments of manufacturing facilities, with an average report total of $110,000 in recommended annual energy savings, saving facilities about 10-20% of their annual energy use. Services include a half-day on-site survey and subsequent written report including detailed recommendations, calculations, and return on investments from projected energy savings.
