  RaceTorch LLC is focused on creating electronic starting devices for sporting events. Many events currently use guns to start races and with the desire to remove guns from campuses nationwide, RaceTorch LLC was born. Currently in beta form, the new starting device uses a synchronous strobe and tone system to simulate the start of a race. For example, when starting a track meet, the referee currently fires a gun. Spectators can see the smoke from the gun and the athletes hear the noise of the gun's report, the bang. Medical professionals have stated that without hearing protection, the athletes are subjected to noises well above healthy levels. The RaceTorch solves these issues.With the electronic starting device, guns are removed from campuses, the location of high school and university athletic events, and the noise level is brought down to safe levels. Gun shells are replaced with batteries and speakers. A school using the RaceTorch has no recurring costs when using rechargeable batteries with an ROI of only 1.3 years.RaceTorch LLC believes that the final version of my invention will be ready for its first sales in December 2014.
