      Aug 2016 - May 2017
      President

The G.K. Chesterton Society is an independent, student-run theological society at the University of Virginia. Drawing inspiration from our namesake, the great 20th Century Christian thinker G.K. Chesterton, we provide a forum for students who are interested in exploring the Christian intellectual tradition. In addition to regular biweekly meetings, which involve discussion, student presentations, and other opportunities, we host events with visiting professors and local clergy. We also greatly value our relationship with the Center for Christian Study and are co-sponsoring a lecture series on Flannery O'Connor and Wendell Berry taught by Dr. Vigen Guroian, a former UVA professor and influential Orthodox theologian. As President, my responsibilities included overseeing all general meetings and board meetings, organizing publicity, coordinating with and delegating tasks to other appointed officers, and representing the society with other ministries on campus. I was also in charge of the presentation/discussion schedule over the course of the year. Show less
