      Primary responsibilities involved the design, blueprint & document / revision control as well as the fabrication of the initial prototypes. My work centered on building hydraulic systems for a variety of heavy equipment applications in construction & heavy industries. This included subcomponent pumps, manifolds, valve bodies, hydraulic lines, linkages & hydraulic cylinders. I designed and constructed a variety of special application systems for external customers as well as tooling, jigs and fixtures for Caterpillar, Ziegler's machining department and Ziegler's branch stores. I also machined, repaired and rebuilt worn/damaged structural, power train & hydraulic components on both CAT & non-CAT equipment. In the course of my work I used a variety of manual lathes, horizontal boring mills & milling centers, Mig, Tig & spray-welders to construct prototypes or repair system components. Duties also involved the use of portable line-boring and bore welding systems for field service machine repair. Responsible for site surveys of buildings, drafting necessary blueprint designs, document control of the multiple projects in my build area and coordinating between customers & construction crews to effect successful implementation of Verizon’s FTTP service distribution system. Designs ranged from single apartment complexes to large service area distributions encompassing hundreds of addresses over dozens of city blocks. -Projects would include Feeder Fiber Routes, Fiber Distribution Hub size & location, Fiber Distribution Network path from Hub to premises & Fiber Distribution Terminal size & type per location and obtaining all necessary city & state permits including CALTRANS traffic control plans.-Performed IT support for Wellsco Inc. to insure remote access and VPN connectivity (Virtual Private Networking) of Wellsco’s Off-Premise (OSP) engineers & staff to Verizon servers.       I am currently employed by and developing tooling for Northrup Grumman Aerospace Systems at their Deployables OBU Division in Oxnard, CA. Here we prepared various components for the James Webb Space Telescope. The JWST is a joint venture with NASA and JPL and is scheduled for launch in 2020. Current satellite projects include Nissar, I6 and various classified projects.
